The RPM Curved Bottom Plate is more forgiving in allowing a full stroke across the ground. No divets!

As a bonus, it also protects the mallet head when put down on hard surfaces.

If you don't like the feel of EVA, you can have a binding fitted. This adds an extra 2mm to the diameter (ideal for those of you who sweat and react to EVA products).
